PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASE:

Thank you for visiting BlueMarlinChronicles.com. All sales on 12/24 volt 32 AMP connectors are final, no returns on these items. If you are purchasing any 32 AMP connector, please be advised that the 32 AMP size is fairly new. If you are purchasing a 32 AMP plug for a system that is older than 3 years, chances are it is a 16 AMP system. Buyer's Guide

32 AMP Under Gunnel Female Connector

The 12 Volt Under Gunnel Female plug allows for an under gunnel or when an angular installation is desirable. This plug may be simply screwed into place. Each plug has a "drillable" screw down cap in the rear to facilitate the feeding of the wires. In addition, the rear of the plug opens up into 2 halves, revealing the channels where the wires are attached (see below). The rear of the plug measures 3 1/4 inches deep by 3 inches wide, the plug is 3 1/4 inches high at it's highest point.

Plug Features:

Our 12 volt plugs provide simple "push in" and "pull out" connections. The blue cap on the female plugs secure the male in position. Our plugs do not require a rotary action to secure the plug in place. Plugs that "twist on" and "twist off" wear out quickly, eventually leading to poor connections, as well as decreased performance from the electrical components that require the electrical source.

Electric reels are particularly sensitive to poor connections, such connections will result in decreased power, poor performance, and will eventually lead to costly repairs. Our plugs eliminate this common problem. Fishing lights that incorporate ballasts, are also sensitive to poor connections. We recommend using our plugs with all Kristal, HydroGlow, Precision, and Magnum tackle accessories.

Wiring:

The wiring of our plugs is very simple. There is a positive and a negative channel, the wires fit into each of these channels. Each channel has 2 screws, which when tightened, secure the wires within the channel. We recommend sealing these with silicone caulk to protect against environmental hazards.

Strain Relief:

The male and the inline female plugs feature the strongest strain relief system in the industry. Within the plug you will find a built in clamp that allows the main wire to be securely fastened to the inside of the plug. This incredibly strong screw down clamp will keep the wires from pulling free should someone pull the plug from the outlet incorrectly.

Routine Maintanence:

Like all marine electrical connections and components, a fresh water rinse is imperative after each trip offshore. We recommend spraying down all your electronics with either of these products:

  • Super Slick Stuff
  • 386 Nano Tech
  • BoeShield

Soap is NEVER a good idea. Soap reduces the surface tension of the water, allowing salt to enter and cause corrosion.

The products outlined above are also excellent to spray down your tackle, as well as your engines. We strongly recommend using any of these.
