Sceptre Kite Rod Tungsten Carbide Tip
Features:* Tungsten Carbide Kite Tip
* Aluminum Reel Seat
* Slick Butt & Gimbal
* Release Clip Holder for running & storage
When selecting a kite rod most anglers tend to select an inexpensive rod. Reasoning dictates that since the rod is not going to be used to fight a fish, the least expensive choice is best. The weakest point of most kite rods is the rod tip guide. The passage of braided line together with swivels will immediately begin to eat away the metal of the rod tip guide. Eventually the line will go through the metal creating a rough surface that will break the line. The breakage of the kite line while the kite is in flight may result in loosing the kite as well as your release clips, baits, and swivels, not to mention a trophy fish! Our Sceptre Tournament Series Kite Rod eliminates that problem through the use of our new Tungsten Carbide Stainless Steel Kite Tip. Tungsten Carbide guides were designed for use with stainless steel wire lines, such as monel. Tungsten Carbide greatly surpasses the necessary strength to handle braided lines and the swivels we run through the guide. Our kite rod tip guide will not break when spectra braided lines, dacron, or swivels are passed through it.
The Sceptre Tournament Series Kite Rod is a full sized kite rod measuring at 36 inches in length. This professional grade super heavy duty kite rod features an aluminum reel seat that can accommodate the larger electric kite reels. In addition we align our reel seats where the reel tightens towards the butt of the rod. This alignment is imperative when running offshore. Kite rods or any rod, where the reel is tightened from the bottom towards the rod tip WILL become loose when running. This type of reel seat alignment will eventually cause the loss of an expensive reel, or someone getting hurt because the reel came off the rod, causing injury.
When I designed our entire line of Sceptre Tournament Series Fishing Rods I took all these known flaws out of the equation. My focus was to build a line of tournament tuned fishing rods of impeccable quality. Sceptre tournament quality performance driven rods will exceed your expectations.
Sceptre Tournament Series Kite Rod
My Sceptre Tournament Series Kite Rod is hands down the best kite rod you will ever use. Unlike other kite rods where the reel tightens toward the rod tip, resulting in a loosened or lost kite reel, the Sceptre Tournament Series Kite Rod features an aluminum butt where the threads tighten towards the butt. This feature serves the following purposes:
A. The reel will not come loose when running offshore
B. No need to "tighten" the threads when kites are deployed
C. The reel tightens on to the rod as you run offshore
Each rod features our new Tungsten Carbide Stainless Steel rod tip. Tungsten Carbide guides were designed for use with stainless steel wire lines such as Monel. The Spectra line as well as the SPRO swivels will not harm the over built Tungsten Carbide Tip. This is a very important feature because the guide will not fail while the kite is in flight. Given the cost of fishing kites and release clips, the last thing you want is a kite setup that is lost due to the failure of the rod tip.
The Sceptre Tournament Series Kite rod measures a full 36 inches. This allows the angler to easily clip the line to the release clips at a comfortable arm's length, no need to reach out! In addition to the aluminum reel seat, the rod features a heavy duty slick butt, as well as an EVA foregrip.
I designed Sceptre Fishing Rods after years of fishing with rods that under-performed. There are many "cheaper" rods to choose from, however none will perform like our Sceptre Rods. Please feel free to email or call me if you have any questions regarding our line of Sceptre Tournament Series Fishing Rods. All of our rods are made here in the USA by expert craftsmen.

| | Killer kite rod with massive tip guide. Louis you put some thought into making these rods dude, its just perfect. I never seen a kite rod with a place to attach the clips when not in use. Much better reel seat and guides than what I was using. |
