This lure is best trolled from the short rigger position or short flatline in the prop wash. Phoebe is weight keeled allowing for a low center of gravity, which allows this lure to run and track true.

About "Low Center of Gravity" Lures:
A true running lure will have the proper hook set angle as well as presentation. Basically there is no point to having eyes on a lure if the eyes are looking at the sky! The low center of gravity allows your lure to look natural.

Thanks for your input! I am aware of the name they use to describe this piece, however I personally chose not to use that name because that name really doesn’t describe the function of the rubber piece. Stopper is a bad word to use to describe alignment because they are not related in any way. The fact is that when you put rubber between two moving pieces, when those pieces come together on each side of the rubber, there is shock absorption, hence "rubber stopper". As far as the piece, it is rubber and to the layman, Shock Absorber explains the purpose of the black rubber piece, which is in a very small part to keep the hook aligned, but mostly it prevents the crimps, hook eye from going into the underside of the head and preventing the impact. These lures are keel weighted, that is why they run true, and why the hooks are aligned when the lures are trolled, in my opinion keel weighted greatly outweighs non-keel weighted, the primary reason being lure presentation, as well as hook alignment. |

| | I bought 2 of these lures because I love them so much. Bahama lure is a great company that i heard about on a forum. It sounds funny but i feel like i watched the company grow from simply a guy making lures out of the bahamas, to having its own website, then being carried by some of the best tackle shops around. I love that i do not have to worry about where i run this lure in different conditions, It runs well in all positions in all conditions. Blue and white are my colors of choice. This lure will make any marlin trolling fisherman happy. |

| | This lure is a great lure, I have fished it before and I liked it so much bought 2 of my own. It runs true is all seasi like it on my short rigger. The ones i ordered were puple and black and blue and white. The blue and white has been my most successful color in the area i fish. BMC is one of the few retailers who caries this line of lures and i lve them all! |

Bahama Lure Rigging Options:
NOTE: I recommend the single hook rigs to facilitate billfish releases. A single hook rig is much easier to remove than a double hook rig.
