I have been anxiously awaiting the final release of the computerized Kristal Reel since September 2008 when I had the opportunity to play with the first prototype. Unlike the other smaller programmable reels, Kristal's computerized electric reels have the necessary power and speed for true offshore performance. | | This is a very powerful reel. We landed a 317 swordi with no difficulty what so ever. The variable speed feature is awesome and the jigging function of the reel works really good. My favorite feature is the auto stop, we really needed that when we drop for bottom. |
