Kristal Fishing Reels

Kristal Fishing Reels are a complete line of electric deep drop fishing reels in both 12 and 24 volt power options. There are several sizes of Kristal Reels, you have smaller reels suitable for use as electric teaser reels, or electric kite reels for kite fishing, the reel sizes progress up to the 651, which is Kristal’s largest reel for the US market.

During the last year Kristal Fishing have evolved and new Kristal Reel models are now available. Kristal has maintained it’s XL series. Here is a description of each of the Kristal XL Models:

Kristal XL 640: This reel was developed to substitute the 635 XL. The 640 is a small electric reel suitable for both as an electric fishing kite reel, as well as an electric kite reel, which may be easily bridge mounted. This reel has a dead weight pulling capacity of 25 LBS, and has the necessary power to pull in a fishing kite, as well as any teaser. The Kristal 640 also features an electronic variable speed control knob.

Kristal XL 640 DM: The 640 DM is a variation of the XL 640, the difference is that the 640 DM is programmable. This reel features auto-stop, a line counter, and a programmable automatic jigging function. In addition to the programmable feature, the 640 DM also features a traditional reel handle and provides for a manual operation option. The 640 DM also features electronic variable speed control knob.

Kristal 601 XL: The 601 XL is the industry standard electric kite reel. In addition to it’s application as an electric kite reel, the Kristal XL 601 may be used as a teaser reel, or for light deep drop applications. The Kristal 601 XL, is easily bridge mounted when the angler wishes to use the reel as a bridge mounted electric teaser reel.

Kristal 601 M: The Kristal 601 M is both an electric fishing kite reel, or an electric teaser reel. Unlike the Kristal 601, the Kristal 601 M features a traditional reel handle and provides for a manual operation option.

Kristal 605 DM: The Kristal 605 DM is a variation of the XL 601, the difference is that the 605 DM is programmable. This reel features auto-stop, a line counter, and a programmable automatic jigging function. In addition to the programmable feature, the 605 DM also features a traditional reel handle and provides for a manual operation option. The 605 DM also features electronic variable speed control knob.

Kristal 621 XL: The Kristal 621 XL is probably the most popular deep drop electric fishing reel. This reel now features a new more powerful motor that can pull 75 LBS of dead weight, making it ideal for drops to 2000 feet, as well as powerful enough to pull double tiered dredges. The Kristal 621 XL is available with an aluminum spool option. The standard reel features a composite spool. The aluminum spool is desirable when the reel is used for sword fish, and larger saltwater deep sea game fish.

Kristal 621 M: This reel features the new motor capable of pulling 75 LBS of dead weight, making it ideal for drops to 2000 feet, as well as powerful enough to pull double tiered dredges. The Kristal 621 M features a traditional fishing reel handle and provided the angler with a manual over ride, or manual operation option.

Kristal 621 MA: The Kristal 621 MA is a Kristal 621 M, with an aluminum spool. The Kristal 621 M comes standard with a composite reel spool. The aluminum spool is desirable when the reel is used for sword fish, and larger saltwater deep sea game fish. The 621 MA features the traditional reel handle, which the angler may use for a manual over ride or as a manual reeling option.

Kristal 611 DM: The Kristal 611 DM is a variation of the XL 621, the difference is that the 611 DM is programmable. This reel features auto-stop, a line counter, and a programmable automatic jigging function, which is excellent for catching Tuna. In addition to the programmable feature, the 611 DM also features a traditional reel handle and provides for a manual operation option. The 611 DM also features an electronic variable speed control knob.

Kristal 651 XL: The Kristal 651 XL is the standard commercial quality deep drop electric fishing reel, suitable for fishing depths beyond 2000 feet. In addition, the 651 XL is a very popular option for anglers wishing to pull multi-tiered mullet dredges.

Kristal 651 M: The Kristal 651 M is a version of the 651 XL, and features the same pulling capacities. In addition, the 651 M features a traditional reel handle that the angler may use as a manual over ride option, or for manual operation.

Kristal 651 MA: The Kristal 651 MA is a Kristal 651 M, with an aluminum spool. The Kristal 651 M comes standard with a composite reel spool. The aluminum spool is desirable when the reel is used for sword fish, and larger saltwater deep sea game fish. The 651 MA also features the traditional reel handle, which the angler may use for a manual over ride or for manual reeling. The 651 MA is an ideal deep drop electric fishing reel suitable for daytime swordfishing.

Kristal 655 XL: The Kristal 655 XL is the standard commercial quality deep drop electric fishing reel, suitable for fishing depths beyond 2000 feet. In addition, the 655 XL is a very popular option for anglers wishing to pull multi-tiered dredges. The 655 XL features an electronic variable speed control.

Kristal 655 MA: The Kristal 655 MA is the standard commercial quality deep drop electric fishing reel, suitable for fishing depths beyond 2000 feet. Kristal 655 DM: The Kristal 655 DM is a variation of the XL 655, the difference is that the 655 DM is programmable. Kristal 651 XF: Kristal 651 X Treme. This is a commercial grade fishing reel suitable for big game fishing for swordfish, as well as for deep drop in depths of 2500 feet and beyond. The Kristal 651 XF is the most powerful reel that Kristal makes for the US market. This reel comes standard with an aluminum spool, and it is a very popular choice for anglers who daytime swordish.

Kristal XL-75: The Kristal XL-75 features the same motor and pulling capacities of the Kristal 621, the difference is price, location of the spool, and drag configuration. The XL-75 is a gear driven electric fishing reel, it features interchangeable spools, aluminum spool option, and a star drag. Unlike the other XL reels, the Kristal XL-75 has a side mounted spool. This reel is excellent for deep drop, and it also does double duty as an electric downrigger. The Kristal XL-75 is a rod mounted reel that will fit on a deep drop rod of 80 LB class or more.
