Bahama Lure Black & Pink Daisy Chain
A daisy chain is a series of teasers rigged in tandem. These come in
several “flavors”, including squid such as the Yozuri and Moldcraft
products, Dart / Bullet head lures, bird teasers, and plain vinyl skirts with egg sinkers. Daisy chains are easy to rig, these can be quite inexpensive, or more elaborate. Bahama Lure Company
will have a very unique daisy chain product line very soon. Bahama
Lures manufactures the worlds best “low center of gravity” lures that
run true. Another excellent lure option for daisy chain construction, is
our 1, 2, 8, 16, 24, and 32 ounce dart head lures, which are
inexpensive, and available in all the colors. The 8 through 32 oz darts feature double and triple vinyl skirted head, and our 1 and 2 oz lures feature double and triple flashy mylar skirts, including the popular pearl colors.
When rigging daisy chains, it is important to understand that the
heavier the lure, the faster the daisy chain must be trolled. So if you
are looking to make a daisy chain for high speed trolling and targeting
wahoo, the 16 oz, 24 oz, and the behemoth 32 oz darts will work best,
and if you seek a daisy chain for speeds from 4 to 10 knots, our 1, 2,
and 8 oz bullet head lures will work best in that application. I
classify the daisy chain as both a surface, and a subsurface teaser,
weight and speed being the determining factor on how the teaser runs.
Daisy chains may be trolled off the outriggers, on the flat lines, or
used to entice fish when trolled in the shotgun position. I also like
to give these a considerable drop back, and then reel them in quickly
with the electric reel. The smoke and commotion brought on by daisy
chains is priceless when it comes to enticing trophy fish. Daisy chains
are relatively inexpensive, and are a great way to get started with
teasers. if you need additional information on rigging daisy chains,
