The NEW incremental click through drag lever, allows the angler to fine tune the drag through incremental stops between FREE SPOOL, and STRIKE. The narrow spool, max drag of 28 LBS, and the leverage provided by it's 2 Speed feature, makes this the ideal reel for deep jigging with vertical jigs, such as Shimano's Butterfly Jig, Tormenter's Assist Hook Jig, Diamond Jigs, Profish Jigs, and many others.

Kingfish Anglers will just LOVE the new incremental click through drag lever, which allows for a finer drag setting. The new push button release from STRIKE to FULL, prevents accidental movement into the FULL drag position. The new HX's ability to pick up 47 inches (4 feet) of line per crank allows for SUPER FAST line retrieval, excellent for Kingfish, Sailfish, and Striper fishing. The Avet HX's features makes an ideal reel for those who TROLL or DRIFT fish with kites. Tuna? NO PROBLEM, kick the reel into low retrieve and set your drag on TERMINATOR (max drag)!
